THE PROCESS
Facial Assessment and Mapping:
On the day of the treatment, after a thorough consultation, the face is examined to determine the muscle movement and the cause of any static or dynamic wrinkles. The area is cleansed and the injection points are then mapped to reflect the patient's desired outcome, before administering the product.
CONSULTATION
At your consultation we will address the areas of concern to determine the best treatment. The consultation process is important to each and every treatment, allowing you to express your concerns and what you hope to gain from your treatment plan. Don’t be afraid to open up to allow for a highly personalised treatment plan to form because only then can you hope to achieve the results you desire.
PREPARATION
For optimal results, and to minimize the chance of bleeding or bruising at the injection site, please avoid all blood-thinning medications and supplements for one week prior to your appointment. This includes over-the-counter medication such as aspirin, Motrin, ibuprofen, and Aleve. Also avoid herbal supplements such as garlic, vitamin E, ginko biloba, St. John's Wort and omega-3 capsules.
If medically advised, please check with your doctor prior to stopping use of aspirin.
Avoid topical products such as Tretinoin (Retin-A) retinols, retinoids, glycolic acid, alpha hydroxy acid, or any "anti-aging" products for two days before and after treatment.
Do not drink alcoholic beverages 24 hours before or after your treatment to avoid extra bruising.
AFTERCARE
• Avoid applying makeup to the treated area for 24 hours, this can help reduce the risk of infection.
• Avoid any extremes of temperature for the next 24 hours, for example have a tepid shower or bath rather than hot.
• Avoid exercising or strenuous activity for the first 24 hours post-treatment.
• Do not go swimming or use saunas or steam rooms for at least 24 hours posttreatment.
• No excessive alcohol on the day of the treatment.
• Do not lie flat or face down for at least 4 hours after treatment. Remain upright for 4 hours after treatment, this can help to reduce product migration.
• Avoid touching or rubbing the treated after for at least 24 hours after treatment, doing so may affect treatment results.
• Avoid any further cosmetic procedures to the treated area for 2 weeks following treatment, including permanent makeup and skin treatments.

WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS?
Anti-wrinkle injections are generally well tolerated. Common side effects are usually mild and temporary and may include slight redness, swelling or bruising at the injection sites, or a mild headache.
Less common side effects can occur and will be discussed in full during your consultation, along with aftercare advice and safety information, to ensure the treatment is appropriate for you.
IS IT PAINFUL?
Very fine needles are used to administer the product, meaning the sensation is barely noticeable for most clients and the treatment is quick and comfortable.
AM I SUITABLE?
Anti-wrinkle injections are suitable for adults aged 18 and over who are not pregnant or breastfeeding. Suitability also depends on your medical history, current medications and individual treatment goals, all of which will be assessed and discussed in full during your consultation to ensure the treatment is safe and appropriate for you.
